What is the Continuum Protocol?

The Continuum Protocol isn't just another extracurricular - it's the ultimate experience for kids.

Unlike other organizations, the Continuum offers kids a chance to learn, grow in achieve in their owns areas of interest. There is no set path through Continuum. The structure provides opportunity for kids to follow their passions while encouraging exposure through new ideas and experiences.

Parent lead

Explorer Led - Parent Supported

The explorers lead the way, but they can't do it alone.

Continuum isn't a drop off activity. Especially in the early levels with young children, parents are a necessary part of the equation. Most Level 1 (introductory) achievements will need parental assistance. From ordering the kits to complete the various tasks, spending time with your child is an essential part of the Continuum Project. As your child advances, they may still need your assistance, but they will be able to complete projects and make incredible strides with your support.

Parents are the facilitators. When an Explorer has completed the requirements for an achievement they will demonstrate what they did and how to their parents. Parents then check off all the requirements are met, and the achievement is complete. The Continuum Protocol doesn't work without the parents or guardians.

Real achievements

Achievement

Achievements that actually matter.

Collecting badges is fun, but the Continuum Protocol is about more than just collecting enough badges to advance. Children who advance through the various levels and disciplines create real world projects and have a measurable impact. The Level 1 Robotics achievement involves creating a working set of programmable lights. When the project is complete they not only obtain the achievement, they keep their creation.

Explorers who follow their passions to the highest levels will leave Continuum with service projects, personally created software, camping and survival skills, and making real and measurable impact in various areas. Continuum is designed to help prepare children for the future - whatever they want to do, Continuum will get them there.
